I provide cat training in Northeastern Pennsylvania and virtually across the globe. I use science-backed positive reinforcement to help your cat live their happiest, best life.

Common Questions About Cat Training

Everything you need to know about how we'll work together to help your cat thrive.
Where do the training sessions take place?

I offer in-person sessions throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania and remote consultations via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. For visits outside of the Scranton area, I just charge the standard IRS mileage rate for travel.

What is your training philosophy?

My methods are based on science and positive reinforcement. I focus on techniques like counterconditioning to turn unwanted behaviors into better ones. We also use clicker training to mark positive choices and target training to help your cat move through their home comfortably and safely.

How many sessions will my cat need?

Every cat has their own personality, so the timeline varies. Generally, basic manners and cue training take one or two sessions. For more complex issues involving anxiety or aggression, we usually need about four sessions to build a lasting and effective solution.

What happens during a consultation?

We start with a questionnaire so I can learn about your cat's history. During our session, we will discuss your goals and I will observe how your cat interacts with their environment. Whether we meet in person or online, I will provide a customized plan and service agreement designed specifically for your household.

Do you help with health or nutrition concerns?

Yes, I provide nutrition counseling to help with dietary needs and overall wellness. I also have a lot of experience helping owners manage complex health issues like Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) by combining environmental changes with dietary monitoring.

Can I ask questions before I book a service?

Absolutely. I know how stressful behavioral issues can be, and I want you to feel confident in our partnership. Feel free to reach out via phone or email with any initial questions to make sure I am the right match for your cat's specific needs.
