Cats and Guests

A guest in your home can disrupt your cat's routine so here are some tips to keep him calm.

Provide a safe space where he can retreat. Include toys, cat trees as well as calming music.

Let your cat approach your guest. Introduce guests one at a time.

Avoid having guests pick up your cat.

Your guest should avoid direct eye contact.

When your cat seems to be comfortable around your guest, have your guest offer him a treat or some playtime.
